Q3 Projects Update
Local South Melbourne
Significant progress has been made at Local South Melbourne, located at 245 Normanby Road.
Since demolition at the end of 2022, Hamilton Marino have set to work on piling works, which are currently 60% complete.
Piles with diameters of up to 1.5 meters and depths comparable to the length of an Olympic swimming pool have been successfully drilled, indicating the magnitude and scale of the foundation for the 40-storey tower.
Looking forward, our building partner, Hamilton Marino, is working towards the ground floor slab pour, scheduled to commence in February 2024.
Local Kensington
Hacer Group have been hard at work at Kensington and are now well and truly out of the ground.
The vertical core structures are complete for three of the six buildings and we’re looking forward to seeing those three buildings topped out in November.
Construction of slabs is up to Level 4 which means the basement and ground floor can be stripped of support props to allow the commencement of windows and services installation. Construction of the substation room is now complete and will shortly be handed over to the power authority for fit out and connection of permanent power.
We were excited to see the site signage come to life, including our very first crane, hoardings and the jump form, which features our RAP artwork created by the talented Jesse Sutton.
